Game Summary
The Findlay Trojans outshot the Generals 50 to 12, controlled the puck in the Generals end of the ice and were quicker on the puck for three periods of hockey, but the the two teams were tied 2 to 2 at the end of regulation. AW's Chris Watkins two goals, his first two as a High School Varsity Player, countered the Trojans' Tony Thines and Trey Bracy's goals. But the story of this game was Dan Koralewski standing taller than his 6 foot 5 inch frame. Not only did "Skinny" make 48 saves, but the game's key was the three times he turned back multiple shots in a few brief seconds that frustrated the Trojans. In overtime, however, the whole Generals team finally gained control. It was an NHL style 4 on 4 battle for victory. AW outshot and outplayed Findlay throughout 4 minutes and 18 seconds until Zak Seipel took an Zach Ulrich pass in front of Findlay Goal Tender Travis Friar and easily put a top shelf shot past Friar's glove hand for the win.
